1. Objective The purpose of this Exit and Termination Policy is to establish a clear and fair framework for the resignation, retirement, and termination of employment at Mango Tree Technology LLP. This policy ensures compliance with legal standards and promotes a smooth transition for both the company and its employees.
2. Scope This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and consultants of Mango Tree Technology LLP, regardless of employment type or tenure.
3. Types of Employment Termination
3.1 Resignation
- Employees who wish to resign must provide written notice to their immediate supervisor and HR department.
- The standard notice period is 60 days, unless specified otherwise in the employment contract.
- HR will conduct an exit interview and ensure the completion of all clearance formalities.
3.2 Retirement
- Employees approaching the company’s retirement age (as defined in their employment contract) will receive formal notification from HR at least 6 months prior.
- Retirement benefits, if applicable, will be processed as per company policy.
3.3 Termination by Employer
- Termination may occur due to performance issues, misconduct, redundancy, or business restructuring.
- The company reserves the right to terminate employment with notice or payment in lieu of notice, as per legal and contractual obligations.
- Employees terminated for misconduct may be dismissed without notice following a thorough investigation.
3.4 Mutual Separation
- In cases where both the employee and the company agree to a mutual separation, terms will be documented and signed by both parties.
4. Exit Process
4.1 Notice Period
- The employee is required to work through their notice period unless waived by the company.
- The manager and HR team will outline the handover process, ensuring all responsibilities are transitioned smoothly.
4.2 Clearance and Handover
- Employees must return all company property, including laptops, ID cards, access badges, documents, and software licenses.
- HR will ensure that all financial dues (salary, reimbursements, provident fund, gratuity) are settled.
4.3 Exit Interview
- HR will conduct an exit interview to gather feedback and address any final concerns.
- Feedback will be kept confidential and used for organizational improvement.
5. Final Settlement
- The final settlement, including any outstanding salary, will be processed within 60 days of the last working day.
6. Confidentiality and Non-Compete
- Departing employees are required to adhere to any confidentiality and non-compete clauses outlined in their employment contract.
- Legal action may be taken if a former employee breaches these agreements.
7. Employment Verification and References
- Mango Tree Technology LLP will provide employment verification letters and references upon request, subject to company discretion and policies.
8. Exceptions and Amendments
- Any exceptions to this policy require approval from the Director and HR Head.
- Mango Tree Technology LLP reserves the right to amend this policy at any time.
