1. Purpose:
To provide clear guidelines for employee leaves, ensuring smooth operations and work-life balance.
2. Scope:
This policy applies to all full-time, part-time, and contractual employees of Mango Tree Technology LLP.
3. Types of Leaves:
a. Annual Leave (Paid Leave):
- Entitlement: 15 days per calendar year (pro-rated for new joiners).
- Accrual: Earned monthly at 1.25 days per month.
- Carry Forward: Up to 5 days to the next calendar year.
- Encashment: Not allowed; employees are encouraged to utilize leaves.
- Application: Submit a leave request in advance via [leave management system/HR portal].
b. Sick Leave (Medical Leave):
- Entitlement: 12 days per calendar year.
- Documentation: Medical certificate required for absences exceeding 2 consecutive days.
- Unused sick leave cannot be carried forward.
c. Casual Leave:
- Entitlement: 7 days per calendar year.
- Purpose: For personal reasons, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Approval: To be approved by the reporting manager at least 1 day prior (except in emergencies).
d. Paternity Leave:
- Entitlement: 5 days.
- Application: Notify HR at least 2 weeks before the expected due date.
e. Bereavement Leave:
- Entitlement: 2 days.
- Purpose: In case of the death of an immediate family member.
f. Compensatory Off (Comp-Off):
- Entitlement: For working on weekends/public holidays.
- Approval: Must be approved by the reporting manager.
- Utilization: To be availed within 30 days.
4. General Guidelines:
- All leaves must be requested and approved through the official leave management system.
- Unauthorized absence of 3 consecutive working days will be treated as abandonment of employment.
- Leaves during notice periods are subject to management discretion.
5. Public Holidays:
- Mango Tree Technology LLP will observe 12 public holidays annually, as per the company calendar.
6. Leave Without Pay (LWP):
- Any absence beyond the allotted leaves will be treated as unpaid leave, impacting monthly salary.
- Management reserves the right to approve or decline extended unpaid leaves.
7. Revision of Policy:
- The company reserves the right to amend this policy as needed to suit business requirements and legal compliance.
